Memory from Braden Farmer
I only knew Jared as a coworker (I am part of the IT team at Progressive). Even though I didn't have a lot of opportunities to work with Jared directly, my memories of him have been striking. From the moment I first met Jared, it was clear to me that he was an exceptional soul. Everything he did, he did with passion. He was truly caring - one of those people that genuinely cares about you as an individual (which is a rarity in the workplace). Jared was someone that was incredibly devoted to the work he loved doing. He reminded me of computer engineers you see in movies, seemingly capable of doing anything computer-related with god-like powers. His deep knowledge and extensive experience with IT was unmatched. He was truly the backbone of our IT department, just as out IT department is the backbone of our company. I don't think Jared can ever really be replaced at Progressive. It's a shame he is now gone from this world. He will be missed.
