I am very sorry for your loss of Jared and hope the attached photos will be some consolation to you.
In December of 2010 I had the pleasure of accompanying Jared, Gordon Flikeid, and Annie and Daniel Bray to Hawaii for a week-long vacation at the Ko Olina resort. Gordon had a time-share at the resort which he offered to share with us.
We all had a most enjoyable time. Jared and Gordon were especially interested in golfing while Annie, my son Daniel, and I were looking at sea turtles and general sight-seeing.
All five of us went to the North Shore where these photos were taken. We also went together to Hanauma Bay where the last six photos were taken. I am very sorry for your loss of Jared and hope the attached photos will be some consolation to you.
These were taken at Hanauma Bay.
We all had a great time on this trip. It was the first time Jared and I had met. He was a wonderful companion. I expect that we will see one another again in the hereafter.
My wife, Zona, and I went to the baptism of our great-grandson in North Salt Lake on Saturday morning and didn't make it back to Mapleton soon enough for the visitation so we didn't meet all of you there but we did attend the services for Jared.
The services were especially wonderful because so many stories about Jared were told. I was impressed during our trip to Hawaii with Jared's concern for his grandfather -- they were real buddies - especially on the golf course. Zona and I came to know him much more fully during the services. Once again, we are sorry for your loss.
Amy, the photos are not displaying;) I am so grateful we have the technology to share these pictures and memories. Thank you everyone!
